about the project

The Connecting Communities Project is an exciting new project run by the Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Centre and Brent Active Citizens.

The project aims to encourage residents in both boroughs from all backgrounds to help retrain and up-skill themselves with a view to becoming more involved in their communities and supporting them into long term sustainable employment.

We particularly welcome individuals who are Unemployed; Aged 18 – 68 years; Disabled; On low incomes; Reliant on benefits; Unskilled with little or no qualifications; Those who have qualifications but are unable to get paid employment due to ‘lack of experience’; Lone Parents; People with caring duties in need of volunteering help; Young People at risk of offending; Ex-Offenders and people with mental health & disability issues.
